HOME Methods Mortar Waterproofing Work
PPS Waterproof Mortar is a ready mixed dry mortar that is composed of cement, sand, PPS waterproof admixture, other property-improving agents etc arranged optimally for a certain purpose to be mixed at a production plant equipped with a state-of-the-art facility so as to save bothersome manual works of measuring and mixing them on the construction site.

The PPS waterproof admixture which is a patented new material and is also accredited with the Environmental Certification ensures a perfect waterproofness through the generation of a calcium silicate hydrate that is an insoluble compound and that fills air voids to resist the permeability of water and through the production of calcium that belongs to a higher fatty acid and forms insoluble, water-resistant films to reduce the absorptive actions.

The PPS waterproof mortar, which is a plastering agent that can be used by only mixing it with water on the construction site, is an advanced mortar waterproofing material from various points of view such as constructability, waterproofness, workability etc.

It is superior to liquid waterproofing agents in terms of constructability, waterproofness, and convenience of works etc
It reduces construction and labor costs and thus leads to improvement in the efficiency of works
It lessens a storage space for raw materials, which will result in improvement of working conditions.
It is so easy to use that an unskilled person can handle it at home.
It is easy to store, move, and manage it on the construction site and reduce a loss of raw materials.
Elements such as oil etc that hinder adhesion to a waterproofed layer should be cleanly removed.
Works should be performed by finishing the surface of the coating of waterproofing admixture like the plastering of mortar at plasterwork.
Water should be sprayed on the surface of concrete or masonwork so as to keep the surface moist.
In case the depth of plasterwork is more than 10mm, the first plastering should be made on the wet surface and the second one should be made before it dries up completely.
Any details related to construction works but not specified here shall be subject to the ‘Plasterwork’ section of the Standard Specification of Construction Works.
